Find Your Body’s Wisdom. Rewrite Your Story.

Trauma-Informed Books for Nervous System Healing and Emotional Strength

Thank you for being here.

This page is home to two of my most personal works—Perched on the Rooftop and The Guardian in the Corner. These books are not fiction in the conventional sense. They’re rooted in truth. Each story is based on real events I lived through, moments that shaped me, challenged me, and changed the way I understand fear, family, relationships, and healing.

For years, I carried these experiences in silence—too strange to explain, too heavy to forget. I didn’t write them to entertain. I wrote them to survive. These books were never just stories. They were a way to speak the truth when there were no safe places to say it out loud. A way to reclaim meaning in things that once felt senseless. A way to pass something on.

If you’ve ever lived through something unexplainable…

If you’ve ever felt fear that no one believed…

If you’ve ever buried something profound and carried it anyway…

You may see yourself in these pages.

Perched on the Rooftop

This is where it all began. Perched on the Rooftop tells the story of a strange presence that appeared during my childhood—something that haunted my family’s home and never left. We heard it. We felt it. We knew something wasn’t right. It started on the roof, but it didn’t stay there. What followed tested everything we believed about the natural world and each other.

This book isn’t a traditional ghost story. It’s a memory told honestly. A lived moment that refused to fade. I translated it into Spanish as well—not just for wider reach, but for my family. Because this is part of our story, too, this is our legacy.

The Guardian in the Corner

This second book continues where the first left off, but the fear shifts, growing deeper, darker, and more complex. The Guardian in the Corner explores the lingering consequence of those early encounters, revealing how trauma, grief, fear, and unseen forces often collide in ways we can’t predict. This story moves between the physical and the emotional. Between what happened and what was left behind. Between what we feared and what we trusted.

Written years later, this book holds the voice of someone who has survived and is still learning what healing looks like. If the first book cracked the silence, this one speaks through it.

Why I Wrote These Books

I’m a registered nurse with over 40 years of experience in healthcare, but these stories date back much longer than that. In many ways, they led me here. Writing them helped me make sense of what I’d been through. They gave me a way to name fear, witness my truth, and find peace in places I once avoided.

These books became the foundation for the other work I do now—writing somatic wellness and trauma-informed self-help books. But Perched on the Rooftop and The Guardian in the Corner will always stand apart. They are more than publications. They are acts of truth.

Read with an Open Heart

If you’ve come to this page because you’re curious, skeptical, or searching for something you can’t quite name, stay a little longer. These stories don’t exist to be explained away—they ask to be felt. To be witnessed. To be shared.

Take a moment to take a look. Read with an open heart. And thank you for choosing to walk through these pages with me.

Welcome to the True Story Series

Perchado en el Tejado— The Spanish Edition of Perched on the Rooftop

This book is one of the most personal stories I’ve ever written. I translated it because I wanted to share it with the people who matter most—my family. More than just a book, it’s a part of my legacy. These are real experiences I lived through, shaped by mystery, fear, and resilience.

I never imagined that writing these stories would open the door to something even bigger: healing. What started as a way to process the past eventually led me to a new path—creating self-help books focused on somatic wellness and emotional recovery.

This book was the beginning. And there are more stories to come—each one drawn from my own life. I hope they resonate with you the same way they’ve helped me find peace and meaning in the most unexpected places.
